Community Leadership Award
Huron County Pride is making available a bursary of $500 to Huron County students graduating high school!​ HCP has allotted one bursary for each high school in Huron County. If no qualified applications are submitted from a school, that allocation may be given to student from a different high school. ​

Graduating student from a high school within Huron County.

Attending a recognized post-secondary institution in the upcoming year.

A letter of endorsement from a teacher.r
Ideal Candidates Should Demonstrate:

Passionate, involved, demonstrated leadership.

Community Engagement.

Meaningful Volunteer Experience.

Engagement with the 2SLGBTQ+ Community - candidates are not required to self-identify as part of the community, however we are looking for students who have been shaped by the 2SLGBTQ+ community - whether that is through personal identification, family or friends who are part of the community, or through the candidates own ally-ship.
The Bursary application has three parts.
1. Student Information - for eligibility & contact information
2. Short Answer Questions - to determine the best candidate. Minimum 150 words per question, no more than 500 words per question.
3. A letter of endorsement from a teacher - minimum 150 words.
The letter of endorsement should reflect what the student has written in their application and prove to the selection committee the dedication of the student to their community.
The letter of endorsement should include the teacher's name, contact information, and relationship to the student (ex. coach, extracurricular supervisor, classroom subject of instruction). The letter can be uploaded directly to the form, but if you have any trouble with uploading a file, the file can be emailed to pridehuroncounty@gmail.com
